CROSSING TIME ZONES
In September 2006 I had was the tour manager for a Stanford Travel/Study program aboard a river boat cruise on the upper Danube River. We spent several days in Prague, then drove to Nuremberg, where we embarked on our river journey through parts of Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. We disembarked in Budapest and spent a couple of days there. I took this photo from the terrace known as the Fisherman’s Bastion on the Buda side of the river. Although it was a somewhat hazy day, the view was still beautiful. Pictured on the opposite bank is the Hungarian Parliament building.

One of my favorite views in one of my favorite cities. I miss it.
