Here’s another picture from a country I consider one of the most photogenic I’ve ever visited: Mongolia. This camel, on the other hand, may not be the most beautiful of creatures – it could use a good dentist, among other things! – but it made for an interesting subject for photography. I took this picture in the Gobi Desert, a vast expanse that at first looks barren and monotonous but ultimately reveals hidden surprises – from dramatic Bayanzag, the Flaming Cliffs, where the first dinosaur eggs were discovered, to the cool, ice-filled depths of Yolyn Am, the Vulture’s Valley, to the high pinkish sand dunes where I took this photo.
